March (two new ladies)

Hi Everyone,

This month has been pretty busy. We started it out by moving into a new flat for the RGP housing. The new place is amazing! It has been such a blessing even in the short amount of time we have had it. But, over the last few weeks the man in charge of the building it is in and in charge of the registration paperwork has been very unhelpful and we have had to get different attorneys involved. God has already been working out the details in this matter but we could still use prayer for God to be our advocate and for Him to give us favor with this man and those involved.

Along with moving in to this new apartment we have had a new lady and her two children join us along with last week another new lady. So two new ladies and two children!! The staff and participants in our program are still in the throws of this quick major adjustment. Please be praying for peace, joy, patience, God’s love to be known, and His presence to be strong with us all.

It’s been a joy to spend time with these two new women. They are so fun, each in her own way, but I have already enjoyed talking with one about God’s faithfulness and how He speaks to us. While the newest lady to our group I’ve enjoyed as she has brought her lively personality. I look forward to spending time with both of them over the next month. The two children are just great! It’s fun having more children and it’s kind of like I’ve gained another niece and nephew. I’ve had a few days over the past two weeks where I’ve been able to be their babysitter. This is always a little bit of a challenge for me (having been the youngest in my family) but also fun since all my nieces and nephews are thousands of miles away. Please be praying for each of these wonderful people who are new to our family, for them to know God’s love and for them to experience the healing that God loves to do.

One of the weekends this month we went on a very short trip to a mountain town for a brief rest. While we were in the multiple passenger van going up the mountain road we started to notice that a tire was making the ride a bit rough. The driver stopped on the side of the road multiple times, every time getting out to mess with the back tires. It sounded like a mix between a flat tire and something wrong with the axle/wheel connection area. Well when we got down the other side of the mountain road and were slowly going on a straight flat road, one of our back wheels came off and rolled passed us as we then came to a stop. I am so thankful that God protected us!! And we had some good laughs after the fact. Here is a pic of our one-wheel-less van (the empty wheel area is on the other side).

Continuing to teach english, cooking, and fitness each week with the ladies in our program. Here is a pic of me being silly after one of our classes.

During this month, some of the ladies on my team came along side me and helped me put together an afternoon tea for the ladies here in our lives. We baked up a storm for two days and a good group of women showed up. It was heart warming to know that many of the ladies truly felt loved by this time of getting together, so much that they were in shock at how much work and time we put into putting it together for them. I know they really felt loved, which is my hearts desire. May they know more of God’s love through us! Here are a few pics of our finished products. :)

Prayer Requests:

  • For the two new ladies in our program and their families.
  • For the ladies already in our program and for those who are yet to come.
  • For our team members to find their strength in the Lord and to be filled with His joy.
  • For the MTW team here who as a whole are tired and need a fresh new breath of the Holy Spirit.
  • For favor and guidance with regards to the housing for the RGP program.
  • For the Trauma Conference team and all details to be worked out. (Financial, people who are coming, logistics)
  • For guidance from God about where and what He wants me to do next.
